  • Course Description (Current Catalog) This Course will familiarize students by focusing on how to connect networks together using Cisco routers and switches, with reference to the basic networking knowledge learned in the pre-requisite courses. The emphasis of this review will be on the Cisco objectives. The CCENT is designed to validate your skills for network support roles and ensures you have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to install, operate, and troubleshoot small enterprise branch networks. The CCENT includes topics such as the operation of IP data networks, LAN switching technologies, IPv6, IP routing technologies, IP services (DHCP, NAT, ACLs), network device security, and basic troubleshooting. THis course will prepare the student to sit and pass the CCENT certification exam. (Note: 3 lecture credits, 1 lab)
