Dear ASCC Student:

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) provides certain rights to students with respect to their educational records.

Students have the right to:

  • Inspect and review their education records.
  • Have some control over the disclosure of information from their education records.
  • Seek to amend incorrect education records.

For more information on these rights and your options for the release of your educational records, see the attached FERPA information and policy. You can also grant access to your records to specified individuals (such as a parent, spouse, or employer) by visiting the Records Office and complete a Third Party Release form.

If you have any questions, please stop by the Records Office from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

Additional information and guidance may be found in the ASCC 2020-2020 Academic Catalog and the FPCO's website at www.ed.gov/policy/gen/guid/fpco/.
