Nursing First Session
Maternal-Newborn Nursing introduces concepts related to the childbearing experience and the maternal roles are explored. Nursing theory and skills are applied in the care of mothers and newborn in the obstetrical setting, including administration of medications under supervision of the faculty. The course is taken the first six weeks of the semester. (Note: 3 lecture credits)
